Vulnerability

Vulnerability is not a yielding - it is an act of illumination.

This work gestures toward that inner light, that trembling warmth which dares to be seen.

Warm magenta becomes a field for emotional layering: in some zones the tint deepens, in others it softens, as though feeling presses up against restraint. Underlying tones of yellow and orange pulse in the heart of the hue, breathing with a soft inner fire. The result is a subtle architecture of colour - vulnerable, luminous, strong.

As one gazes, the pink shifts: sometimes quietly holding, sometimes glimmering with inner glow. The layering is a metaphor: the visible self and the hidden self dwell together, sometimes leaning into one another, sometimes holding distance. Vulnerability lives in that tension.

This does not propose weakness, but a radical strength. To expose one’s interior light, to let warmth reach outward despite fear, is an act of defiance. The work asks: how much of our inner life are we willing to lean into the world, and how might that openness become a source of power?

Here, the viewer is invited to witness a presence that is open but intact, warmed but held. The pink holds within it a quiet dare: to be vulnerable is not to collapse, but to burn softly, fully, and with purpose.
