From Experimental Studies to Full-Scale Works
My practice unfolds in two stages: the intimate emergence of an idea and its full-scale realisation. This page explains how the process works.
For Collectors
Each Spectral Sculpture is produced as a singular work, developed from an initial study and resolved at scale for its specific context. Each commission is a one of a kind original artwork, and each reflects a unique dialogue between colour, light and space.
From Study to Scale
Spectral Sculptures are developed through a structured yet flexible process that allows each work to be realised specifically for its intended setting.
Every full-scale sculpture begins as a spectral study - a small-scale work that establishes how colour and light behave within the piece. These studies allow collectors, curators and institutions to experience the work optically before it is developed at scale, providing clarity and confidence in the commissioning process.
Bespoke Commissions
Full-scale Spectral Sculptures are produced as bespoke commissions for private collections, galleries and institutional contexts.
Once a study is selected, the sculpture is developed in dialogue with the collector or curatorial team. Scale, proportion and overall presence are refined in response to architectural context, sightlines and ambient light conditions. Each work is realised to suit its environment rather than being constrained by predetermined dimensions.
